In this video I’m mixing up homemade protein bars in my handy dandy [easyazon_link identifier=”B01AXM4WV2″ locale=”US” tag=”stami-20″]Cuisinart[/easyazon_link]. What would I do without that. Ok Im sort of making a mess here but it’s sort of fun too and doesn’t required a whole lot of time.
These protein bars are a whopping 9-10 grams each – no real special ingredients- but am adding some flax seed which you can get in the health isle at most any store. It’s got lots of health benefits plus its even got a fair amount of protein in it!
To measure things out I’m using a [easyazon_link identifier=”B004164SRA” locale=”US” tag=”stami-20″]kitchen scale[/easyazon_link]. This one is pretty inexpensive and does a great job. Also get some parchment paper – it will make the job easier when you are pressing the mixture down,
Recipe below is for 15 bars. Freeze them – they thaw in just a couple minutes. I like them in the AM with some expresso – see end of video to see my favorite part of the day using the [easyazon_link identifier=”B004VS32YS” locale=”US” tag=”stami-20″]jura ena machine[/easyazon_link].
